About Membership

About UPMA Membership

Membership is the key to making a difference in your business.

The membership year is July 1 – June 30

The STATE Bylaws define our membership types and governance.

Pest Management Company Membership:

UPMA and NPMA (National Pest Management Association) have a joint membership agreement. When you join UPMA, your dues include NPMA membership and all of the member benefits of both associations are available to you. If your pest control company is headquartered in a state outside of UPMA and is an NPMA member through that state, then the State-Only membership category is what you need.

Allied, Associate, and State-Only Membership:

UPMA also has membership options for those who do not qualify for regular membership but are industry partners (Associate), suppliers (Allied), and State-Only pest control companies. If your pest control company is headquartered outside of Utah and is an NPMA member through that state, then the State-Only membership category is what you need.

No business can grow with unfavorable legislation or oppressive regulation. You can be assured that the professional pest management industry is represented before the U.S. Congress and federal agencies to ensure that the laws and rules by which you must abide are sensible and workable -- and not unduly burdensome. The voice of each member company strengthens the power of our message and weight in representation of our industry.

Reach New Customers

Improve your the day-to-day business with countless tools and resources.  The most popular of which is the Find-a-Pro service, which funnels member...by helping potential customers find them! N members have their company name and contact information listed on www.pestworld.org, our consumer site visited annually by more than 600,000 users. Imagine the business leads that stem from consumers using our searchable by zip code locator to find professionals in their area!  UPMA members receive this tremendous exposure at no additional fee.

Additionally, NPMA’s consumer education arm, the Professional Pest Management Alliance, engages in substantial public relations initiatives to help grow the industry. In fact, over the past six years, more than six million homeowners have turned to professional pest management for the first time.  We know much of that growth stems from the industry’s united voice, touting the important role our members play in protecting public health.
